Drawing white or light fur on white paper is one of the hardest challenges of being a coloured pencil artist.

The truth is, white fur is never just white and it’s a combination of shadows, light and reflection that build the illusion of light or white fur.

When I first started my coloured pencil journey, I truly use to dread a commission of a subject with light fur as I found it so difficult to make the drawing look real and not just super 'flat'.

In this in depth 10 hour masterclass I teach you both how to achieve a soft, realistic looking portrait which stands out from its white background.

We cover a multitude of techniques and handy tips and tricks which will give you the confidence to approach light animals or subjects.

This light coloured dog has both lemon fur as well as white so it’s a perfect opportunity for you to practice building up both light fur as well as creating the illusion through light and shadow of white fur.

We also cover the important factors of a portrait such as the eye, nose and ear, achieving the most amount of detail whilst keeping the rest of the portrait looking delicate and soft.

- 10 hours of guided real time drawing and informative voice over delivered in video format which you can watch at your own lesiure.

Upon purchase, you will recieve a link via email to watch the masterclass as well as reference photo, line art and full material list should you wish to follow along.
